YOGA

We are delighted to be able to offer yoga at The Pilates Corner. We currently offer one class taught by Simone on Wednesday evenings.

Update September 2020 – Sadly due to Covid-19 this class in not currently running, but will be back as soon as we can safely put the class back on in the studio.

Yoga put simply can be a practice to help tone, strengthen and balance the body and relieve stress. Hatha yoga is all about balancing ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally (Ha meaning sun and Tha meaning moon). It involves asana (postures), pranayama (breath control) and deep relaxation to guide you to a feeling of wellness and self-exploration. Classes are suitable for all levels – If you can breathe, you can do yoga.

A Sivananda Yoga class is based on 12 basic postures, with lots of relaxation in between. We finish the class with a short relaxation/guided meditation.
