What should I wear?

Whatever is comfortable and lets you move. There is no dress code, no expectation of matching activewear, and definitely no judgement, this is a studio where the average member is over 50 and nobody is here for a fashion show.

The practical guidance is this. Choose clothes that stretch and move with you, leggings, joggers, shorts, a t-shirt or vest. Fitted-ish is better than baggy, not for looks but because your instructor needs to see the line of your body to check your alignment, and a big floaty top hides that. On your feet: socks or bare feet. Grippy socks are popular but not required.

A few things to avoid: anything with zips, buckles or big buttons down the back or sides, because you'll be lying and rolling on them and they dig in. Dangly jewellery that catches. And very loose shorts, for reasons that become obvious during the leg-lift series.

Layers are your friend, a long-sleeved top over a t-shirt covers you for warming up and cooling down. In winter, some members keep a jumper on the whole class and that's completely fine.

Wear what makes you comfortable. Sorted.
