Alswick Barns is a tranquil destination with beautiful places for walks, nature and stunning scenery. This weekend retreat offers a unique, fun and transformational experience in the heart of Rural Hertfordshire.

Emma and Renay collectively have over 30 years’ experience in the wellness industry.  Emma owns The Pilates Corner in Baldock and Renay has served local communities in Hertfordshire teaching Yoga classes and workshops.  
We are excited about this new venture in hosting UK retreats.

We have meticulously selected this venue with thoughtfulness and care, Alswick Barns is situated in a location of extraordinary beauty and positive energy, fostering a rejuvenating experience for the mind, body, and soul that extends far beyond the duration of the retreat.

We combine our wealth of expertise to provide you with a daily Yoga or Pilates-focused practice and profound relaxation, ensuring that you feel nourished and nurtured throughout these retreats. The daily sessions encompass a variety of experiences; mornings are often invigorating, while evenings adopt a more serene atmosphere, promoting a sense of balance and equilibrium.

Each weekend retreat package includes:

Transformational Yoga or Pilates sessions every morning

2 practices each afternoon

2 nights of luxurious glamping accommodation at Alswick Barns

Sumptuous meals daily, along with unlimited fruit, tea, coffee, water and afternoon treats

The retreat does not cover:

Transportation to and from Alswick Barns

Food and beverages beyond those included in the price

The total investment for the retreat is £749, plus your room type supplement.

Non-refundable Deposit Required at time of booking £175.

Balance payment due by 26th January 2024.

Terms & Conditions

Payment for your retreat

• A non-refundable deposit of £175 is required at the time of booking
• We reserve the right to vary the deposit as appropriate.
• The balance is due 90 days prior to the retreat start date. If the booking is made less than 90 days before the start date the full amount is due on booking.
• If any balance remains unpaid, we reserve the right to treat your booking as canceled
• Final retreat details will usually be sent out approximately 1 week before the retreat start date.
• We reserve the right to pass on any charges that we incur in the processing of the payment. No charge is levied for payment by BACS.

Information regarding the retreat

• Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the information on our website and elsewhere is as accurate as possible, details are often published many months before retreats take place.
• We reserve the right to make changes to the website and elsewhere and any information they contain. You will be informed of any material changes before booking.
• All cancellations must be made in writing by the person who made the booking and are effective on the day we receive it

Refund Policy:

• 60+ days or more prior to the retreat date: Your payments will be refunded, less the payment that is your non-refundable deposit.
• 59-30 days prior to the retreat date: payments are not refundable, but are transferable to another participant at your responsibility to find.
• Cancellation less than 30 days prior to retreat start: no refund.

Event Cancelation:

• In the unlikely event that the program is cancelled, full payments will be refunded.
• Travel expenditures will not be reimbursed, and are considered each individual’s own liability.
• Travel Insurance is essential.

Prices:

• All prices advertised or quoted are per person in pounds sterling unless otherwise shown and are subject to change, up or down, until the booking is concluded. 

Complaints:

• If you have any complaints about the venue during the retreat, please liaise with either Emma or Renay directly and we will do our best to help resolve any problems. 

Special Requests:

• Whilst we will endeavour to comply with any special requests such as diets and room requirements, we can only do so on a “goodwill” basis. 

Data Protection Policy:

• In order for us to process your booking we need to store and record your information, including data as supplied. For further information, refer to our privacy policy. 

Travel arrangements:

• We do not arrange travel for any of our retreats.
• It is your responsibility to make necessary travel arrangements.

Booking:

Your retreat booking will be confirmed upon receipt of:  

• Payment of a deposit
• Receipt of full balance - in the event that your booking is received 8 weeks or less prior to the commencement date of the retreat.

In the event of only a deposit payment, your retreat booking should be considered provisional until the full balance of the retreat has been paid and we have received your completed booking form. 

Changes to the terms:

• We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions without notice.
