What do I need to bring to class?
In this article
A shorter list than you're probably expecting.
Bring: comfortable clothing you can move in, socks or bare feet, and a water bottle. That is the entire list.
Everything else is provided. Mats, balls, bands, blocks, circles and every other bit of equipment the class might use are all waiting at the studio, cleaned and laid out. There's no need to buy anything before you start, and no need to lug a rolled-up mat across the car park like you're off camping.
A couple of small tips from members. Wear layers in cooler months so you can peel one off as you warm up. If you wear glasses, a little case in your bag is handy for when you're lying down. And arrive five or ten minutes early, especially at first, it gives you time to settle, find your spot and have a chat, which is half the point of coming to a studio where everyone knows each other.
On Zoom, the same applies: mat or towel, water, comfortable clothes, and something to prop your phone or laptop on so the instructor can see you.
That's it. We keep the barrier to entry as low as possible, on purpose.
