What happens in an induction?
In this article
Your induction is a relaxed, 90-minute session that everyone does before joining regular classes. It runs every other Tuesday evening and one Saturday per month, with a maximum of 6 people, so it's small, friendly and there's plenty of individual attention.
We start with a chat. We'll ask about your body, any injuries, conditions or niggles, what you've done before, and what you want to get out of Pilates. This isn't box-ticking. It's how we make sure every exercise you do from day one is right for you.
Then we get moving. We'll take you through the Pilates foundations properly: how to breathe well, how to find and switch on your deep core muscles, neutral spine, good posture, and the basic positions you'll see in every class. Everything is demonstrated, explained and practised at your pace. Nobody is rushed, and we'll adapt anything that doesn't feel right for your body.
By the end, you'll know what a class looks like, what the exercises feel like, and which classes on the timetable will suit you best. Most people arrive a bit nervous and leave wondering why they waited so long.
The induction is £25 on its own, or it's included in our £79 intro offer, which also gives you classes to use over your first month. Wear something comfortable you can move in, and bring a water bottle. We'll sort the rest.
