Do I need lots of my own equipment?

No. You need nothing, because we provide everything.

The studio is fully equipped: mats, and all the small equipment we use in classes, balls, bands, blocks, circles, the lot. When you arrive, your station has what the class needs, cleaned and ready. You don't need to buy anything, carry anything, or remember anything.

This is true for every class style on the timetable, including the equipment-focused ones. If a class uses small equipment, the studio's equipment is what you'll use.

For Zoom classes at home, it's nearly as simple. A mat is helpful, though a folded towel on carpet works to start with, and when small equipment appears in a session your instructor will offer household alternatives, a cushion, a belt, a tin of beans in a sock has been known to make an appearance. Plenty of our Zoom regulars eventually pick up a cheap ball and band, but there's no requirement.

So the full equipment checklist for starting Pilates here is: comfortable clothes, socks or bare feet, and a water bottle. That's the complete list. The rest is on us.
