How many classes should I attend a week?
In this article
For most people, the sweet spot is twice a week, and consistency matters far more than volume.
Here's the honest picture. Once a week will keep you moving and you'll feel the benefit, but progress is slow, because your body gets seven days to forget between sessions. Twice a week is where members start to notice real change, less stiffness, better posture, more strength, usually within the first couple of months. Three times a week and the improvements come noticeably faster.
That said, the best number of classes is the number you'll actually sustain. One class every single week for a year beats three classes a week for six weeks followed by burnout and a Netflix relapse. Our memberships are built around this, from 4 classes per 28 days, which is roughly once a week, right up to 12 classes per 28 days for the keen ones. Anything beyond that and you're welcome to top up with extra classes as you go.
Start at the sustainable end, one or two a week, and build from there. And remember, Zoom counts. A class from your living room on a rainy Tuesday still moves you forward. A missed class moves nothing.
