What if I don't know what I'm doing?
In this article
Nobody expects you to. If you already knew what you were doing, you wouldn't need us.
This is precisely why the induction exists. It's 90 minutes with a maximum of 6 people, and its entire job is to take you from "I have no idea" to "right, I know roughly what's going on." You'll learn the breathing, how to find neutral spine, what we mean by engaging your centre, and the handful of foundation exercises that everything else is built from. It runs every other Tuesday evening and one Saturday a month, and it's £25 on its own or included in the £79 intro offer.
Then in class, every exercise is demonstrated and described out loud as it happens. You'll never be expected to follow a name you've never heard. We talk you through where to put your feet, what to do with your ribs, when to breathe, what you should be feeling. If you get lost, glance up at the instructor, or just wait for the next exercise and rejoin.
And genuinely, nobody is assessing you. Our members range from their 20s to 86, the average age is over 50, and most of them have had a class where they were completely baffled. It passes. Usually faster than you'd expect.
