I've done a lot of Pilates before, are your classes suitable?
In this article
Yes, and we say that with confidence, because a good number of our members arrived with years of Pilates under their belts and quickly discovered we weren't going to let them coast.
Every class is layered. Your instructor shows the foundation version of each exercise first, then builds progressions on top, adding range, instability, load or coordination. If you've got the experience and control, you'll be working at the top of those layers, and trust us, the top layers are properly challenging. An apparently simple exercise done with real precision and control is a very different beast.
Our small equipment classes are a favourite with experienced members, using bands, balls, weights and the magic circle to add genuine resistance. And because classes are capped at 12, your instructor will know exactly what you're capable of and will keep nudging you forward.
One thing worth knowing: we still ask everyone new to start with an induction, even seasoned practitioners. It's not a test, it's how we get to know your body, your history and your goals, and how you get to see how we teach. Ninety minutes, maximum six people, and it means your first class feels familiar rather than strange.
Experienced bodies are very welcome here. We'll keep you honest.
