My Doctor has recommended I do Pilates, what should I do?

Brilliant. If your GP or physio has suggested Pilates, they're pointing you in exactly the right direction, and we'll make sure you start safely.
The first thing to do is book an induction. It's a 90-minute session with a maximum of 6 people, and it's where we learn about your body before you join a class. Bring any notes, recommendations or concerns with you. We don't need a full medical history, but the more we know about what you're managing, the better we can look after you.
Emma is Level 4 qualified with specialist knowledge in orthopaedic conditions, postnatal exercise and working with older adults, and the whole team is trained to adapt every exercise individually. We've taught members recovering from hip and knee replacements, spinal surgery, chronic conditions, osteoporosis and long-term back pain. Nothing surprises us, and nothing is too awkward to mention.
We won't push you past what's right for your body. The goal is movement that supports your recovery and builds strength gradually, not exercise that leaves you sore or worried.
If you'd like to talk it through before booking, you can always book a free chat with us. We'll give you an honest answer about whether we're the right fit.
